During the course, physical correction of body alignment can be very Useful to help the students identify the correct position, posture, and alignment as well as to prevent injury.
To provide a few examples, this may take the form of the tutor rotating the leg outwards, tilting the head at an angle or lifting an elbow upwards.
Due to government legislation we require consent from students, or from parents/legal guardians if the student is under 18 years of age at the start of the course, before physical corrections can be provided.
As such we request students over the age of 18 at the start of the course, and parents/guardians for those students under the age of 18, to opt-in Using the option below. (Please note, if you change your mind you can officially withdraw consent for the tutor to provide physical corrections at any point during the course by submitting a written notice to “The Dance Institute”)
If students or parents/guardians would prefer physical corrections not be Used, verbal corrections will be Used instead.
